  79. The app updates itself to a version not available on the website. Perhaps fan support has improved since earlier versions?
  80.
  81. And even then the abominable snow-man sometimes gets puffed out and the update times out or fails. The app helps you to modify voltages, fan speed, etc. I just wish I could come across the older app versions I used without issue, but unfortunately I did not pay attention to the version number before upgrading to the new-look one back in June.

  83. GIGABYTE SOCKET 1150 GA-H97M-HD3 - My intake fans are on a fan controller in my Fractal Design R5, so no issues there.

  85. I know, i'm a pain for asking stuff you must find trivial but I don't know where else I can ask where I get good replies in a timely manner. The current version on my Gigabyte h110m-s2h is F4 which came installed. You download the zip, extract, run the bat file which is just a command saying open the bios and efiflash write the new bios on your mobo. And I don't think you have any other choice than find a usb key. Is Gigabyte known for having bad downloads? Are they referring you to? Unless you're willing to go the optical media route. I checked out Gigabyte's Website on the motherboard you have and their download link from the America server works fine on my end. Are they referring you to? Unless you're willing to go the optical media route. I always have a few around anyway for installing linux distros and windows etc.
  86. It took hours for these 'updates' to arrive. It is slow as hell. It looks like Gigabyte finally updated their various utility programs, with a date of December 5th and 6th although they were not on their site at that time. Just hangs without any message I disabled firewall during that, just in case 4. They are usually bigger headaches than they are usefull. But back to your question - none of these seem important for me to keep your laptop up and running. I haven't noticed any adverse consequences as a result, but I also have no baseline from which to compare.
